Firefox and Witchcraft - The Connection?

From the delightful xkcd: A webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math, and language.

Statistical correlation alone does not imply a causative relationship. Witchcraft is the only known exception to this caveat. Web browsers are still subject to this restriction, so I am wondering whether this leaves the whole question uncertain. Any thoughts?

Ah, but you've not shown the basis for your claim that witchcraft is the only known exception. In my experience, xkcd's accuracy in describing the way the world works is generally impeccable.

For that matter, witchcraft may be a retro-PK phenomenon that is induced by the magickal results, but consistently compelled in a retrograde chronological mode. I.e., it happened, so you have to do what made it happen.

Sorry for the delay in response, mundane and technical things have taking a lot of time and energy recently.
